Jenny Zeng is the Founder and Managing Partner of MSA Capital, where she oversees all China investments. Jenny has over 20 years of investment and operational experience.

Jenny was the first Executive Director of China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and founded one of the first boutique investment banking firms in China. She was an early investor in many sector leading companies in China, such as Nio (NYSE: NIO), Yidu Cloud (SEHK: 2158), BOSS Zhipin (NASDAQ: BZ), Pyrotech and Sironax. Jenny was recognized as one of the 30 Most Influential Investors in China in 2022 by Forbes. Under her leadership, MSA was awarded “2021 Firm of the Year - China” and “2021 Exit of the Year - Asia” by Private Equity International.

She is a member of the Council of The Future Forum and a member of the Strategic Cooperation and Development Committee of Institute for AI International Governance at Tsinghua University. She is also a member of the Brookings China Council and the Greater China Council of The Nature Conservancy.

James is a Partner on MSA’s healthcare team, focusing on investments in next-generation biotechnology and life sciences businesses.

James has 15 years of medical research and management experience in the healthcare industry. Additionally, he has 11 years of experience in healthcare investments. He was previously Executive Director at YuanBio Venture, an early-stage healthcare investment firm. Prior to that, he was the COO of Hopstem Biotechnology.

James holds a M.Sc. in bioinformatics from New York University and BA in molecular biology from Nankai University.

Hanae is a Partner on MSA’s enterprise-facing core technology team.

Hanae has over 20 years of investment and operations experience. She was previously a founding member and Executive Director at New Horizon Capital. She also worked for Nomura and SBI Holdings.

Hanae holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and BA from Keio University.

Jiali is the Chief Operating Officer of MSA Capital, where she oversees fund operations, talent management and administrations.

Jiali has over 15 years’ experience in the professional services industry. Prior to joining MSA Capital, she was a partner at Deloitte where she worked in Beijing and London office primarily in the investment management sector and gained insightful knowledge and experience in fund management and operations.

Jiali is a chartered accountant in Hong Kong and in England and Whales.

Jiali is the Chief Operating Officer of MSA Capital, where she oversees fund operations, talent management and administrations.

Walid is a Partner and serves as the Chief Operating Officer for MSA’s Emerging Technology Markets practice.

Walid has over 15 years of investment and operations experience in the Middle East and Africa. Walid was previously a Partner at Wamda Capital, a leading VC fund in MENA whose track record includes Careem (Acq: Uber), Insider, Modernisa. He was an Investment Manager at MENA Venture Investments, the pioneering VC in the history of the Middle East, responsible for several landmark transactions like Maktoob (Acq: Yahoo), Souq (Acq: Amazon), and Yemeksepeti (Acq: Delivery Hero).

Walid holds an MBA from the American University of Beirut and BA from Concordia University.
